Ordnance Survey is a collaborative project that aims to merge electronica, new music, jazz, improvisation, and modular synthesizers. The project's previous works include Relative Phase (2019), which featured collaborations from Sean Mac Erlaine, Linda Buckley, Kate Ellis, and John Mc Entire (Tortoise), Ampere (2020), which featured Donal Lunny and Cormac MacDiarmada (Lankum), and Field Work (2021), which was completed during the lockdown and featured field recordings made in Dublin. Nomos: Ó Riada Reimagined (2022) is a reworking of Ó Riada’s work for electronics.
Sharon Phelan is a Dublin-based artist, writer, and musician who specializes in digital media and sound. Her practice focuses on researching the resonance and poetics of place in site-responsive and collaborative projects. Her ongoing project, Vocal Artefacts, explores ways of listening and expanded notions of voice through artistic research, field recordings, and sound essays.
Nomos: Ó Riada Reimagined is presented by NCH and Matthew Nolan Music.
