Make Music: Young People Programme Assistant
The Make Music: Young People Programme Assistant role will work closely with the Make Music: Young People team coordinators to support all aspects of the Foundation, Step Up, CAT, and Ensemble programmes. The role’s focus will be on the administration and support of various activities associated with these programmes, including lessons, rehearsals, and performances.
Responsibilities of the role include assisting in the running of Make Music: Young People activities and events, compiling resources to ensure the outcomes and relevant targets are met, and providing young people with a high-quality and inclusive music programme. The role will also involve programme logistics and administration, such as collecting and inputting data into systems, contributing to monitoring and evaluation, compiling and distributing programme resources, communicating with young people, parents, carers, musicians, and tutors, and supporting financial administration. The Programme Assistant will also administrate the production of events and activities and implement safeguarding policies and procedures to maintain high standards of safeguarding and pastoral care of children and adults at risk.
The role requires an individual who is self-motivated, can work effectively in a team environment, and is flexible enough to adapt to a changing environment. The Programme Assistant will attend regular programme or planning meetings as required and undertake other duties appropriate to the post and in line with the needs of the organisation.
