'We have some of the most brilliant musicians in the world making the pilgrimage to West Kerry': Other Voices Celebrates 20 Years in Dingle
Other Voices has announced the line-up for this year’s festival, taking place in Dingle from 25 to 28 November. After producing a concert at the Irish Embassy in London last month titled ‘London Calling’, Other Voices now presents ‘Other Voices Twenty – Fiche Bliain Ag Fás’, the twentieth edition of its annual festival in West Kerry.
The main line-up includes Norwegian pop singer Sigrid, Villagers, Fontaines D.C., American singer-songwriter John Grant, electronic hip hop duo Mango X MathMan, pop singer Tolü Makay and British rapper and producer Kay Young, all of whom will perform at Dingle’s Church of St James. Pop singer Rachael Lavelle, indie band Melts and singer-songwriter Stevie Appleby will perform at the IMRO Other Room venue as well as singer and producer Gemma Dunleavy and electronic duo Houseplants.
All of the performances will be streamed live to venues throughout Dingle and will also be streamed on Other Voices’ YouTube and Facebook channels.
In addition, there will be ten concerts taking place in venues in Dingle including singer-songwriter Dani Larkin, rock band Thumper, fiddle player Clare Sands, singer Loah, David Kitt, Jack Talty, and folk trio TRÚ.
Commenting on this year’s festival, Other Voices founder Philip King said:
We’re thrilled to welcome live audiences back to Dingle, that uplifting engagement between audience and artists is really at the heart of the live experience. We have some of the most brilliant musicians in the world making the pilgrimage to West Kerry and we have a gathering up of the new voices and artists who have written the emotional soundtrack to the Ireland of 2021. The artists and the crews that make them audible and visible are the heart of the matter and it’s a delight to celebrate their creativity and commitment. It’s going to be great.
