Dublin’s first ever gamelan orchestra started regular rehearsals in University College Dublin just a few months ago. The group meets every Wednesday evening and it is open to both the college students and members of the public. Now presenting their first public concert in the city centre, this performance will include both traditional Javanese music and new works written especially for these instruments by members of the orchestra.
