Trio Cantare
Presented by Music for Wexford
Trio Cantare is composed of some of the next generation of leading Irish classical talent who share a passion for chamber music; Dublin mezzo-soprano Gemma Ní Bhriain, Armagh pianist Cahal Materson, and Cork cellist Yseult Cooper-Stockdale. All three members are alumni of the Royal Irish Academy of Music, from where they graduated in 2014.
Even though they are a relatively new chamber ensemble, being founded in 2021, their inaugural concerts at Drogheda Classical Music and Belfast International Arts Festival were greeted with high praise. Their Drogheda Classical Music recital was even aired on RTÉ Lyric FM in its entirety. They look forward to performing more chamber music works together with a specific focus on repertoire that highlights the natural pairing and beauty of the cello and voice and works by female composers
A beautiful concert of music for Piano, Cello and Mezzo-Soprano with works by Brahms, Schumann, Clarke, Massanet, Faure and Rachmaninoff
