Tailleferre Ensemble

Sunday, 16 April 2023, 6.30pm

The Tailleferre Ensemble has recently released their world premiere recording of Sonate champêtre by Germaine Tailleferre. Their Conway Hall programme, showcasing groups of varying sizes from solo piano up to a sextet, features works by all of the members of Les Six, setting the music of their namesake in context. Poulenc’s much-loved Sextet is perhaps the most well-known work here, but music of the lesser-known Auric, Honegger, Milhaud will complete the picture of the colourful musical world the group inhabited.

Emma Halnan (flute)
