Soft Cell has announced their open-air concert at St Anne’s Park on Saturday 3rd June 2023, subject to license. The concert will feature special guest Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark, and Heaven 17. This will be Soft Cell's first-ever live performance in Ireland.

Soft Cell (Marc Almond and Dave Ball) released four UK Top 20 albums between 1981-1984, spawning hits such as "Memorabilia," "Torch," "Say Hello, Wave Goodbye," and their No.1 hit "Tainted Love." In 2022, they released their brand new Top 10 album, '*Happiness Not Included', featuring hit single "Purple Zone" (with Pet Shop Boys), as well as recent UK and North American tours celebrating the 40th anniversary of their debut album, 'Non-Stop Erotic Cabaret'.

Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark (OMD) were formed by Andy McCluskey and Paul Humphreys in the late 70s, known for their trademark electronic sound, achieving hits throughout the 80s including "Souvenir," "Joan of Arc," "If You Leave Me," and the anti-war anthem "Enola Gay."

Sophie Ellis-Bextor shot to fame as a vocalist on Spiller's huge number one single, "Groovejet" and her worldwide smash hit, "Murder on the Dancefloor". Her debut solo album, "Read My Lips," was released in 2001 and sold more than 2 million copies worldwide. In 2020, Sophie’s Kitchen Discos, performed at home during lockdown with her five sons were watched and enjoyed by 40 million people around the world.

Formed after a split from The Human League, Heaven 17 was formed in 1980 in Sheffield and achieved chart success with hits including "(We Don’t Need This) Fascist Groove Thang," "Play To Win," and "Temptation," cementing their status as one of the most forward-thinking bands of the decade.
