Trad Connections is a monthly concert series that takes place in Siamsa Tíre, The National Folk Theatre of Ireland, on the last Friday of the month. Its aim is to support new and established voices in Irish traditional and folk music.

It does this by giving musicians the opportunity to perform before a live audience at our theatre in Tralee, to have access to the full range of technical and marketing expertise available from Siamsa Tíre, and to develop their skills as live performer and extend their audience base in the process.

The series started in January 2020 and on the last Friday of every month since then, there have been concerts with traditional acts including Lorraine Nash, and 3 on the Bund, as well as Fergal Scahill, Ryan Molloy, Oracle, Muireann Nic Amhlaoibh, Macdara Yeates, Conor Moriarty & Conor O’Sullivan, The Rising, Elle Marie O’Dwyer, Zoe Conway, John McIntire, Greta Curtin, Killarney School of Music and many others.

Siamsa Tíre is now looking for fresh voices to showcase. There are a limited number of slots still available this year and slots are currently being filled for 2023.

Submissions are being welcomed from local, national, and international musicians. These can be well-known acts or new to the stage. All will be considered.

Applications for inclusion can be made by completing an Expression of Interest form which you will find at www.siamsatire.com/events/folk-programme/trad-connections/
