Choreographer Jonathan Burrows and composer Matteo Fargion have been collaborators for thirty years, slowly building a body of work which straddles the line between dance, music, performance art and comedy. Their work has drawn an international following for its integrity, openness and independent stance, situating itself at the forefront of dance practice. The work is hard to place, combining intellectual rigour with unexpected humour, but it has its roots in a shared love of classical music, which they clash against an approach to performance that is both anarchic and joyful.

In Limerick the two artists will present their two most recent duets. Rewriting is an increasingly complex and pointless choreography of cards, that becomes a playground for memories and associations. Science Fiction is a music performance that invites you always to guess what might happen next.
