Krapka;KOMA is a multi-instrumentalist electronic girl group based in Lviv, Ukraine. Ira Lobanok and Alona Kovalenko produce and perform music together. The duo appears on stage singing and playing a variety of instruments such as electronic drums, keyboards, synths, guitar and trumpet, which creates a fusion of electronic soundscapes with an acoustic touch. The music genre combines features of trip-hop, nu jazz, indie electronica and soul. Sometimes jazz elements are present, as both musicians are coming from a jazz background. The main music influences are Submotion Orchestra and Radiohead.

Krapka;KOMA started their creative career in late September 2019, releasing their debut music video for the song “Asylum”. And already in November they had 5 concerts: they warmed up for two Belgian artists R.O. x Konoba and Stefan Gillis, and performed in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, at an international party of electronic artists, and in Lviv, Ukraine, at a secret concert of Sofar Sounds.

In December 2019, the girls went on a mini-tour to the Eastern Ukraine (Dnipro, Kharkiv, Zhovti Vody and Kryvyi Rih), where they were giving concerts for 4 days in a row and holding music talks about creating electronic music.

Immediately after returning from the tour, the musicians went to Spain, where they spent 2 months hiding from the cold Ukrainian winter: they were working on new songs, played 4 concerts in Malaga and Madrid, added two more Spanish cities to their list of performances at Sofar Sounds international events.

On the 15th of January 2020 the second music video "Sweet Distraction" was released.

During the lockdown in Spring 2020, Krapka;KOMA composed 9 instrumental tracks - “Quarantine Beats”. They became the soundtrack for a video-game “Titan Chaser”, which was released on Steam. Besides, Q Beat №8 was featured on Los Angeles-based vinyl compilation "Vinyl Moon" Vol.65.

Quarantine Beat №2 led to a single “Sugar Moon” produced together with an Irish singer-songwriter Pixi Ink.

In addition to music, Ira and Alona have
produced a printed fan-zine or comic type book that tells the story and adventures of their project in pictures. It's a kind of visual comic concept that girls have been carefully building around their activities.
