Paula Murrihy with the Irish Baroque Orchestra & Peter Whelan - Where Shall I Fly? A Handel Celebration
Ireland's Summer Opera Festival will be alive with opera, concerts, recitals and free events from 29 May - 05 June 2023.
This recital will see special guest internationally acclaimed Irish mezzo-soprano Paula Murrihy joined by the Irish Baroque Orchestra. Under the artistic direction of Peter Whelan at the harpsichord, Paula's glorious programme of arias entitled 'Where Shall I Fly? A Handel Celebration' – will celebrate early music in this uniquely atmospheric location.
This will be Paula Murrihy’s very first concert at Blackwater Valley Opera Festival, and her debut performance at Dromore Yard.Paula Murrihy is a regular guest at the world’s major opera houses and concert halls, performing a wide variety of repertoire.
Our 2023 festival also marks the much welcome return of The Irish Baroque Orchestra and award-winning conductor Peter Whelan for this celebration of Handel and baroque magnificence in Dromore Yard.
