Officer, Advocacy and Communications (London)
Arts Council England is currently seeking a skilled and experienced communications professional to join their London and South East Advocacy and Communications team. The successful candidate will report to the Head of Advocacy and Communications, London & South East.
The key responsibilities of the role include supporting the development, implementation, and monitoring of the area’s communications strategy. The chosen candidate will also assist in delivering the wider organisation’s communications strategy to protect the organisation’s reputation.
Other responsibilities of the role include updating Arts Council England’s internal and external communication channels with local activities, including writing and distributing press releases, creating digital content and stakeholder messages, to advocate for the value of arts and culture to key stakeholders. They will also be required to assist in managing, evaluating, and assessing the impact and delivery of online content, media, PR, stakeholder management, events, and briefings.
The successful candidate will provide day-to-day communications support to the leadership team and other colleagues. They will be the first point of contact for media enquiries and will act as a source of knowledge and expertise on Arts Council England’s funding portfolio and activity. The role will also require assisting in planning and event management of briefings and events held locally.
Finally, the successful candidate will contribute to social media platforms, create digital content, and use tools to interact, communicate, inform, and empower audiences.
