LÉDA hail from Balla, Co Mayo & London, Ontario respectively. The duo features EADAOIN & Emily Jean Flack.
EADAOIN is a multi-award winning multi-instrumentalist who holds an impressive number of world titles on the instruments she plays. After releasing her first singles she managed to achieve two world music number #1’s on the iTunes Charts in Ireland.
Emily Flack, now based in Toronto is a musician, a champion step-dancer, a composer, songwriter but a singer above everything with touring credits that include the incredible Natalie MacMaster, Shane Cook and the Leahy family.
Between them they have travelled the world playing music, and have appeared on world-leading stages such as Broadway, Croke Park, RDS, Marley Park, National Concert Hall in Dublin and The Barbican Theatre in London— as well as at venues in China, Canada and Finland and elsewhere.
LÉDA combine to create something truly special and are an act not to be missed! Éadaoin and Emily have collaborated in creating newly composed music, with assistance from the Arts Council, specifically for this concert. Their fusion of folk and traditional, along with the Canadian influence weaving its way through the intricate sounds they make will leave the listener spellbound.
