Commenting on the figures, editor Toner Quinn said:
This has been a very difficult year for the music scene, particularly musicians, concert promoters and festivals. We appreciate the huge efforts they have made to keep the music playing, and we have endeavoured to support their work by reporting on what is happening, reviewing events and new releases, and providing a critical perspective during the pandemic. This readership growth will assist us in continuing this work and I would like to thank our readers for their engagement and feedback, our writers and staff, the Arts Council and all of our supporters.
