Jazz Connector: Introduction to Patreon for Musicians

Jazz Connector: Introduction to Patreon for Musicians

Thursday, 13 May 2021, 5.00pm

Continuing our Jazz Connector online meet-ups with a focus on career development, IMC would like to invite the Irish music community to come together for an interactive presentation, Q&A session and chat on Thursday May 13th from 5:00 - 6:30PM.

The topic at hand is:
An Introduction to Patreon for Jazz Artists

Attendance is free. To attend, please sign up at the link below.

We’ll be joined by Patreon's Creator Partnerships Team, Tom McNeill and Gee Linford Grayson, who will be providing an introduction to Patreon for Jazz Artists. The workshop will introduce what membership is all about, Patreon's main features, examples of artists using Patreon successfully, best practices, launch strategies as well as lots of time for questions.

Gee Linford Grayson has a background in events programming and Tom McNeill has worked in the Music Industry for many years in a myriad of roles (Serious, London Jazz Festival, Artist Management) before the two joined forces at Patreon.

Patreon provides a platform where creators can connect directly and build community with their most engaged fans, test new work in a supportive environment and establish a reliable, recurring revenue stream. You can let your fans become active participants in the work they love by offering them a monthly membership, giving them access to exclusive content and giving them some insight into your creative process. In the 8 years since the platform first started up, over 200,000 creators have collectively earned over $2 billion directly from their patrons.

This session is for:

Artists
Managers
Anyone working with or representing artists
Anyone wanting to learn more about Patreon

The session will primarily be aimed at those considering Patreon, rather than existing Patreon creators.

Guest Speakers:
Gee Linford Grayson
Tom McNeill

Guest speakers will be expressing their own personal views and will not necessarily be speaking on behalf of their various companies/employers.
