The Irish Association of Youth Orchestras Presents the 27th Festival of Youth Orchestras 2023
The Irish Association of Youth Orchestras is delighted to return to the National Concert Hall Dublin for the annual Festival of Youth Orchestras! The 2023 Festival of Youth Orchestras will see over 400 young players from across Ireland take to the national stage for two concerts.
The Festival of Youth Orchestras is the annual celebration of Irish youth orchestras and their talented members with a great variety of music played by young people for young people.The concert will feature classics such as the 1812 Overture by Tchaikovsky, Dance of the Tumblers by Rimsky-Korsakov, and the beautiful Palladio by Karl Jenkins, music from the screen including Gabriel’s Oboe, West Wing, and Brave, pop and rock classics from Abba and the Rolling Stones, original compositions from Irish composers and plenty more! On the day, there will also be the world premiere of 'Through the Ages', composed by Sophie Butler and performed by Musica Fusion Community Orchestra.
