The Irish Association of Youth Orchestras’ annual Conducting Workshops will take place in MTU Cork School of Music from Monday, 3 July – Friday, 7 July 2023 under the baton of Director Robert Houlihan and Guest Director Geoffrey Spratt.

The course is suitable for beginner to intermediate level conductors working on a mixture of standard repertoire. Places are available for both participants and observers. Observers will take part in baton technique and score preparation along with full participants.

Fees: Participants €300 and observers €150.

We will limit participant places to 18 and will give preference to Irish and Irish-resident youth orchestra conductors and Irish music students. Remaining places will be awarded to suitable applicants based on a first-come, first-served basis.
