HRSE: Back in the Room
HRSE is delighted to present ‘Back in the Room’, a concert celebrating our first opportunity to perform together in over a year. Join us for the world premieres of four exceptional compositions, all written specifically for Hard Rain and recorded in Queen’s University Belfast’s state-of-the-art SARC Sonic Lab. The concert will showcase our two 2020/21 HRSE commissions, funded by the Arts Council of Northern Ireland's Small Grants programme: Ed Bennett’s 'Revolver' and Rhona Clarke’s 'Non-Stop'. We’re also proud to present 'Contemplations 3 – Solaris', a new work dedicated to HRSE from the French composer Philippe Festou, director of the French contemporary music group ensemble Yin. Our concert will conclude with the premiere performance of HRSE Artistic Director Greg Caffrey's three-movement work, 'A Terrible Beauty', which draws its inspiration from the poetry of W.B. Yeats.
