Esker Festival Orchestra 2023 | Rehearsal & Performance Tour | 14 - 20 Aug, 2023
In celebration of Esker Festival Orchestra's 10th year we will be performing Gustav Mahler’s legendary Symphony No. 2 “Resurrection.”
This project will feature the largest orchestra in our history and the newly formed Esker Festival Choir which will be made up of singers of all ages from all over Ireland.
From August 14th-20th 2023, we will once again be resident in the beautiful surrounds of the University of Galway and will perform concerts in Galway and Dublin, under the baton of founder and director Peter Joyce.
The deadline for player applications is April 10th 2023.
This year we are accepting new applications for all positions in the orchestra.
If you are interested in becoming a member of the orchestra you can apply by emailing [email protected] with a recording of your playing (video or audio), your CV or short Biography and a scan of an ID for proof of age. Please remember that you must be over 18 to take part.
The newly formed Esker Festival Orchestra is open to singers of all ages and nationalities. Details of how you can take part and the dates and locations for rehearsals will be posted soon.
