
Elegie: Rachmaninoff, a Heart in Exile
Internationally renowned pianist Lucy Parham is the creator of the acclaimed Composer Portrait concerts, “one of the must-see events of the musical calendar” according to BBC Music Magazine.
Narrated by Olivier-award winning actor Henry Goodman, Elégie chronicles the life of composer and pianist Sergei Rachmaninoff. The programme includes many of his best- loved works for solo piano, including a selection of Preludes, Etudes-Tableaux and Moments Musicaux, some of his own transcriptions and the haunting Elégie, as well as works by Scriabin and Tchaikovsky.
