Deadlines for Festival and Touring Awards for 2022

The Arts Council's current touring scheme closes 6 May; applications for the festival scheme open on 22 June.

The Arts Council has two upcoming schemes for musicians and promoters interested in organising a tour or festival for 2022.

The Touring and Dissemination of Work Scheme is currently accepting applications for tours that start between January 2022 and June 2022. As well as reaching live audiences, tours can include audience reach through broadcast, online and other channels.

The scheme, which is open to organisations and individuals, is interested in funding applications that ‘Enrich appropriately the repertoire and range of music available to local audiences, including historic Irish music and contemporary/new Irish music’. There is no maximum amount that you can apply for and the deadline is 6 May at 5.30pm

The Festivals Investment Scheme opens for applications on 22 June and has a deadline of 22 July. The scheme is for festivals taking place between January and June 2022 and there are three bands of funding available: up to €7,000, between €7,001 and €20,000, and between €20,001 and €35,000.

Festival applicants that wish to apply for the higher tier must be established for a minimum of five years and have presented a minimum of five consecutive festival programmes.
