Featuring the world premiere of David Harper's St James's- 1684, this concert is in support of the Wren Project, a scheme to restore and rejuvenate the historic Sir Christopher Wren church of St James’s, Piccadilly.
The Cory Band is the World’s best brass band and continues a great tradition of the finest amateur music-making.

Hailing from the Rhondda Valley in South Wales, The Cory Band were crowned Grand Slam champions in 2019 having won the European, British Open, National Championships of Great Britain plus Brass in Concert for the second time in three years.
During the pandemic, Cory has been one of the most active ensembles producing 13 virtual performances which resulted in over 3 million online views. Several of these performances were featured on BBC and ITV news, BBC Radio 3 and Classic FM. The band also developed and hosted 2 online Brass Band Championships events which supported bands all over the World and entertained a global audience online.
The World’s number one ranked band for 15 consecutive years, Cory made history in 2016 by winning an elusive Grand Slam and becoming the first band in history to be Quadruple Champions – simultaneously holding the National, Open, European and Brass in Concert titles. This cemented a remarkable ten consecutive years at the top of the World Rankings.
The concert begins at 7pm and ends at 9pm, including a 20 minute interval.
